4 Vintage Wooden Lures
My Grandfather, Willian Lee Pitzer, left my Dad all of his fishing gear, which my Dad then gave to me when we moved to the little town of Algonac on the St. Clair River in Michigan. So many of these lures had been destroyed by time spent in the attic of my Dad'd childhood home in Detroit, but to me, they became works of art and why I felt I had to draw them.
Lure No.4 - Creek Chub Jointed Pikie Minnow Lure
Lure No.6 - Heddon Wounded Spook Lure
Lure No.5 - Red & White Shakespeare Dopey
Lure No.7 - Heddon Midget River Runt Shiner
I drew this using Prismacolor and Mars-Lumograph pencils on Strathmore 100 lb. Colored Pencil paper and comes framed in a 21-inch x 17-inch Caramel-colored, real wood frame with 3-inch surround, 8-ply gallery white mat presented behind real glass.
