Jar of Marbles No.1
As a kid growing up on the St. Clair River in Algonac, Michigan, it seemed like everyone had their little bag or Maxwell House 2-lb can of marbles. Myself, I used a mason jar. I still have these sitting on my studio shelf, taunting me to draw them. Earlier this year (2022), I finally felt I had to give it a go. This was my first attempt at marbles in a jar on Canson paper, which has a bit of a tooth to it, unlike the other paper I’m used to drawing on. I think it brings a bit of softness to the detail in my images.
